One-day implants at a glance
- What is this treatment?
- Treatment that evaluates whether extraction, immediate placement, and temporary prosthesis attachment can be done on the same day. Not applicable to all patients and does not mean final treatment is completed in one day.
- What concerns are addressed?
- I can’t go around without front teeth. I’m busy so I can’t visit often.
- What precautions are there?
- Postoperative pain, swelling, bleeding, infection, sensory changes, and failure of osseointegration may occur. Bone grafting or sinus surgery carries risks such as graft exposure or mucosal perforation, and varies by individual condition.

What are one-day implants?
Treatment that evaluates whether extraction, immediate placement, and temporary prosthesis attachment can be done on the same day. Not applicable to all patients and does not mean final treatment is completed in one day.
What can be done in one day and what must wait
Same-day placement and immediate provisional restoration are different determinations. Even if placement is done the provisional prosthesis may not be attached immediately if initial stability is insufficient. Final prostheses are made after confirming osseointegration and gum healing.
Infection, remaining bone, and initial stability are criteria
Tell us if you cannot be without a front tooth or if you live far away. We will not rush patients into unsuitable procedures because of schedules. If inflammation is extensive or bone reconstruction is needed we explain delayed placement after recovery.
Limits and precautions to know
Postoperative pain, swelling, bleeding, infection, sensory changes, and failure of osseointegration may occur. Bone grafting or sinus surgery carries risks such as graft exposure or mucosal perforation, and varies by individual condition.
